Rev. Ken McKernan, CSB passes away

Fr. Ken McKernan, CSB passed away on August 7, 2019 at Sunrise Residence in Windsor, ON.

Fr. McKernan was a prominent language and theology teacher at Catholic Central between the years of 1969 - 1984 and 1989 - 2009. Many students fondly remember his course in morality and his famous question always on the chalkboard, "Who is the man you seek to become?"

  • August 1, 1984 – May 31, 1988 at Bishop O’Dowd High School, Oakland, CA
  • June 1, 1988 – May 31, 1989 on sabbatical
  • June 1, 1989 – June 30, 2009 at Detroit Catholic Central High School, Redford and Novi, MI
  • July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2015 at O’Connor House
  • July 1, 2015 – until he became sick was at Our Lady of Assumption, Windsor, ON
  • Post July 1, 2015 – August 7, 2019 at Sunrise Residence, Windsor, ON
