2019 Robotics Signing Day

The FIRST Robotics Team has graduated 17 seniors this year. These young men were the team founders four years ago and have left an incredible legacy here at Catholic Central. FIRST Robotics has given them a background in technical skills, leadership, teamwork, design analysis, public speaking, and more.

On the Robotics National Signing Day, they committed to continue their education in a STEM field. 15 of the 17 seniors plan to study Engineering or Computer Science, and 2 of them plan to study Business and Law. They are attending the University of Michigan, Michigan State, Arizona State, Xavier, Michigan Tech, Lawrence Tech, Northern Michigan University, and the University of Detroit-Mercy.

FIRST Robotics scholarships of up to $25,000 are offered at a variety of Michigan universities, including Michigan Tech, Lawrence Tech, Kettering, Grand Valley, Eastern, Ferris, Saginaw Valley, UofD-Mercy and Lake Superior State.
“Teach Me Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge” is the motto of the Basilian Fathers and the sacred mission of Catholic Central High School. For ninety years, the graduates of Catholic Central have made a positive impact locally, nationally, and around the world.
