Jacob Yee '21 Selected for Chinese Study Abroad Scholarship

Chinese 2 student Jacob Yee '21 has been selected to receive a 2019-2020 National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) scholarship to spend 6 weeks in Xiamen, China this summer! The program he will be participating in is run through the University of Delaware, and the American Councils for International Education manages the overall operations of the scholarship program. NSLI-Y is a government program through the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Recipients of this scholarship are selected after an intense application process, including a personal interview. They are known for being highly competive, so this is a very exciting opportunity for Jacob.
