Veterans Day Remembrances

On Monday, November 12, the Shamrocks for Veterans, a club for CC students who work to honor veterans, invited Shamrock veterans to take part in a blessing ceremony at the Veteran Memorial Garden on campus following the 7:20 AM mass in the Chapel.

Fr. Elmer '46 led the blessing, and Fr. O'Neill led the morning Mass.  The "Lest We Forget" Veterans Memorial was opened during the summer on campus, and is open to visitors.

The Shamrock musicians also took part in honoring veterans, as they joined Sam's Club in welcoming veterans to a grilled luncheon. The band played the National Anthem, then stayed to meet with the veterans over lunch.

Thank you to all those veterans who have served, who continue to serve, and who will serve in the years to come.
