High School Placement Test & Prep Course


High School Placement Test Dates for Fall 2017 Applicants.

The HSPT is required for all incoming freshmen at Catholic Central High School.

The test takes approximately 3-3½ hours, and caculators are not allowed. Students will need to bring two #2 pencils.

Academic Scholarships are only available for students who take the exam in November or December, and score in the top 8% nationally

Students do not need to take the test at Catholic Central, but the test can only be taken one time.

***Any students requiring accommodations must register in advance, and proper paperwork must be filled out. No walk-in registrations will be accepted for students who will require testing accommodations. Proper paperwork is needed for these students which may be obtained from Jake Marmul, the Director of Admissions.

High School Placement Test Prep Course

The 2016 HSPT Prep Courses will be held the mornings of Saturday, October 29 and Saturday, November 12 from 8-11 am. Students should only attend one session, and each date is limited to 100 students on a first-come basis.

The Prep Course focuses on the Math and English portions of the test, and also includes general test taking skills. The course will conclude with a scored practice test, and students will leave with a study book

Cost for the Prep Course is $45/student.
