Senior Capstone Gift

If you are financially able, please consider a senior capstone gift (suggested gift: $2000-senior brick included) in honor of a faculty member and your son’s graduation. If you choose to make a senior capstone gift of ANY amount, please consider choosing a faculty member or staff members to honor. This senior gift will go towards The Frank Garlicki (former teacher and coach) Fund for Teacher Compensation. Parents, we encourage you to involve your son in this philanthropic conversation about who to honor. A note of gratitude from Mr. Ed Turek and Fr. Fulton will be given to the honoree and we encourage you to send your own personal note of gratitude to the staff member as well.

About Frank Garlicki

About Frank Garlicki

In 2015, thanks to generosity of Kevin O’Connor ’79 and since supported by many others, Catholic Central High School established the Frank Garlicki Fund for Faculty Compensation in honor of the late, great, Frank Garlicki. Mr. Garlicki, affectionately known throughout the CC community as “The Gar”, was a legendary teacher, moderator and coach who was a member of the CC faculty for 23 years (1968 – 1991).

Frank Garlicki is remembered for the way he constantly challenged his students to formulate and articulate their opinions. His classroom was an arena for honest debate and reasoned argument, honing the critical skills of all who studied under him. Mr. Garlicki was an incredible Debate Coach and his CC Debate Teams were winners of numerous National and State Championships.

In addition to these achievements, Mr. Garlicki also coached the CC Tennis team from 1976 – 1991, winning State Championships in 1985 and 1986.

Senior Brick

Please consider a commemorative senior brick which will be a lasting legacy in honor of your son. Our 4 x 6 brick program is typically for a $500 gift. Bricks for our seniors are offered for a minimum investment of $150 for the future generations that will pray, play and study, on this campus. It is our desire that your grandchildren will be among those that walk these grounds. Your brick will be in the Shamrock Plaza adjacent to the Fr. Richard Elmer Stadium and will be personalized with your son’s first and last name and class year. Please note that due to the development of our campus over the next several years, the bricks MAY be relocated to another more prominent place on campus, but will not leave this campus. Bricks are slated to be engraved during the months of May and June and should be in place by the fall.
