Becoming Catholic

Catholic Central High School offers a process allowing students from various Faith backgrounds to become Catholic.
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) offers a meaningful path for students at Catholic Central who wish to become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church. This program, tailored for non-Catholic teenagers, provides a structured and supportive environment for students who:
- Have never been baptized
- Were baptized in another Christian community but now want to become Catholic by receiving Confirmation and Eucharist
- Or were baptized Catholic but have been away from the Church and wish to return to the faith by means of Reconciliation and Confirmation.
Throughout the school year, students gather biweekly, guided by the Basilian Fathers and dedicated faculty and staff, to prepare for these significant sacraments. The OCIA team works with students to find a parish near their home where they can attend Sunday Mass. The journey culminates in a special Mass during the Easter season, where students are joyfully welcomed into the Church community.
