CC is a place dedicated to improving the minds, hearts, and spirits of young men. Our mission with scholarships and tuition assistance is to ensure that a Catholic education is accessible to as many students as possible.

  • Tuition

    • Tuition for the 2019-20 school year is $13,500.
    • Tuition rates are subject to change. Tuition for Detroit Catholic Central is set annually, each January, by the School Board for the following school year.
  • Smart Tuition

    • CC uses Smart Tuition to allow families to manage their tuition accounts online.
    • To access your Smart Tuition account, a parent must log in to MyCC and click on the Resource Board, where  you will find a link to Smart Tuition.
    • Various payment plans and methods are available.
  • Tuition Assistance / FAST

    INCOMING FRESHMEN - All of our tuition assistance for the incoming class has been allocated at this time. We are working on additional sources of funding, but cannot guarantee that additional aid will be available. You are still able to complete the FAST application below, but no assistance will be awarded unless additional funding becomes available.

    • Start your FAST application here - there is a $45 processing fee, and you will need to submit tax forms from within the last 2 years.
    • Awards range from $500 to approximately $9,000 on the basis of financial need as determined by the successful completion of a FAST financial aid application. Award amounts may vary year to year based on availability of funds and the number of qualified applicants.
    • Applications for Tuition Assistance should be submitted as early as possible prior to April 1st.
      • An application may be filed after that date, however, a late filing may impact the amount of an award based upon the availability of funds.
      • Incoming families must register and submit a tuition deposit in order to have their Tuition Assistance Application processed. The deposit may be refundable if enough aid is not available.
      • Families must submit a new Tuition Assistance application for each year.
  • Academic Scholarships

    • Fr. James Embser Award
      • Students scoring a composite of 98-99 on the HSPT will receive a $4,000 scholarship each year, provided he maintains a 3.9 GPA.
    • Fr. John Sheehy Award
      • Students scoring a composite of 96-97 on the HSPT will receive a $3,000 scholarship each year, provided he maintains a 3.8 GPA.
    • Fr. Bernard Regan Award
      • Students scoring a composite of 94-95 on the HSPT will receive a $2,000 scholarship each year, provided he maintains a 3.7 GPA.
    • Fr. John Menner Award
      • Students scoring a composite of 90-93 on the HSPT will receive a $1,000 scholarship each year provided he maintains a 3.6 GPA.
  • Archdiocese of Detroit Grants

    Catholic families within the Archdiocese of Detroit are eligible to apply for this need-based grant. Please see the Archdiocese of Detroit website for additional information.
  • Brothers' Discount

    Catholic Central offers a $1,500 tuition discount for families with two or more sons enrolled concurrently. The discount applies to the second son and each additional son.
  • Other Scholarships

    • Families must complete the FAST form in order to qualify for the below scholarships.
    • The Michael E. Bullock Scholarship Fund for students with siblings on the Autism Spectrum
    • The Dominique Fischer Memorial Foundation Scholarship for families impacted by mental illness
    • Goodness, Discipline, & Knowledge (GDK) Scholarships may be available in unique circumstances. Contact the Admissions Office for more information.
    • Per MHSAA Guidelines, Catholic Central does not offer any athletic scholarships.
  • Other Fees

    • $40 late payment fee (through SmartTuition)
    • $95 AP Test Fee (if applies)
    • $50 Parking Fee (if applies)
    • There are no book bills/fees. All regular semester books are provided by Catholic Central at no cost to the student.
    • Families must provide their own laptop device. Learn more.
  • Transfer Scholarships/Aid

    • Catholic Central does not offer any scholarships to transfer students, and transfer students do not retroactively qualify for academic scholarships.
    • Transfer students may still apply for and receive regular tuition assistance.
CC is more than just a school. All the additional things beyond scholastics has made my son learn accountability and what is expected of him as a man. We have had to make sacrifices in other areas financially to afford Catholic Central, but it's been worth it.
