We work to make Catholic Central accessible to qualified students from all backgrounds. Catholic Central's Board of Directors actively works to minimize annual tuition increases, with the goal of keeping our cost as low as possible while providing the resources our students need to succeed.

More than 33% of our families receive need-based tuition assistance, which is funded by our annual DRIVE fundraiser, annual donations, and our endowment.

Tuition Assistance

Catholic Central offers need-based Tuition Assistance to families in all grade levels.

To Apply for Tuition Assistance, families must submit a complete FAST form, including applicable tax forms. All legal guardians of a student are expected to contribute towards the cost of tuition.

New families are required to meet with Admissions prior to applying for need-based assistance via scheduled phone call. Each family's unique circumstances are taken into account. A frank and honest discussion with Admissions will help us advocate for your son.

Tuition Assistance Awards will be maintained for the duration of enrollment, but families must submit the FAST form and taxes each year to verify circumstances. Substantial change in circumstances may result in aid being adjusted.

Family income of $175,000 or more - unlikely to receive need-based assistance, but encouraged to schedule a meeting with Admissions to discuss your individual family situation and options that may be available

Family income of $75,000 could qualify for $8,500 - $10,000 of aid per year
Family income of $100,000 could qualify for $6,000 - $8,000 of aid per year
Family income of $125,000 could qualify for $4,000 - $6,000 of aid per year
Family income of $150,000 could qualify for $1,000 - $4,000 of aid per year
Family income of $175,000 could qualify for $0 - $2,000 of aid per year

Scholarships & Grants

Academic Scholarships

Catholic Central offers Academic Scholarships to students entering the 9th grade based on the November, December, or January test dates of the HSPT in the student's 8th grade year. Students may qualify for Academic Scholarships based on their overall national composite score, typically in the 90th percentile or higher.

Fr. James Embser Award: $4,000 per year
Fr. John Sheehy Award: $3,000 per year
Fr. Bernard Regan Award: $2,000 per year
Fr. John Menner Award: $1,000 per year

Academic Scholarships may be renewed yearly, provided the student maintains a 3.6 or higher YTD GPA without any grade below a B on his transcript.

Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge Scholarships

Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge (GDK) Scholarships are offered to less than 10% of applicants, based on their total and complete application.

These scholarships range around $1,000 per year. Considerations for the award include the following criteria:

Exceptional demonstration of the values of Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge, as documented by their application, interview, and essay responses
Would be the first in their family to attend Catholic Central
Have overcome substantial educational or economic obstacles

GDK Scholarships may be renewed yearly, provided the student maintains a 3.0 or higher YTD GPA without any grade below a C on his transcript.

Brother Discount

Catholic Central offers a tuition discount for families with more than one student enrolled at the same time. The discount of $1,500 is applied to the second enrolled son, and each one after that.

Other Fees

Tuition is set to be all-inclusive, but families are responsible for providing a device for your son.

There are no added costs for books, technology, tutoring, early/late access to the building, etc.
