Detroit Catholic Central is a school where students flourish both inside and outside of the classroom.
In order to experience all that CC has to offer, students participate in several extracurricular activities, including athletics, clubs, intramurals, and student government. This is where many of the long-lasting friendships and bonds of brotherhood are cultivated. Currently Catholic Central features more than 35 clubs and activities that range from outdoor experiences like archery and backpacking to robotics, drama, band/orchestra, and media/broadcast news.
An estimated 90% of students participate in at least one extracurricular activity.
Our intramural sports alone have more than 250 participants each year. Student Activities, which includes the student council and class officers, consists of almost 100 students who take leadership roles with dances, assemblies, fundraisers, and other spirit activities.

The Drama Club at Detroit Catholic Central provides students an outlet for their creative and performance desires. The club meets regularly during the school year, attends field trips to performances at local colleges and other high schools, and stages a production every year at CC's annual Fine Arts Festival on the first weekend of May.
Finance Club meets twice a month and is dedicated to two things: increasing the knowledge of all of our members in everything related to the world of finance and managing a large portfolio of money on behalf of the school. As a member of the club, you will learn about stocks, credit, economics, jobs/internships, and many more topics. You will also learn how to deeply analyze and pitch a stock that may help the club earn money for years to come.
