Catholic Central is committed to the academic excellence of its students. This means providing a best-in-class learning environment and the resources necessary for each student to be successful.
Catholic Central completed a $1 million upgrade to the school’s Learning Strategies Center and Media Center in 2021. The renovations provide students with increased space for collaborative learning and continues the overall effort to provide state-of-the-art facilities for the school’s more than 900 students.
Catholic Central offers a premium access to a rich digital resource library for online education and research projects.
This access is available to all CC students, faculty/staff, and alumni.

The Learning Strategies Center (LSC) is a resource that became a part of Detroit Catholic Central in 2012. It works in collaboration with students and counselors to help students who are experiencing challenges across the academic curriculum. Students are empowered to improve in areas of organization, time management, test-taking strategies, and note taking.
This is not a tutoring program, as students will continue to work with their teachers first for extra help in specific subjects. Instead, the LSC is designed to help the student who needs to improve his overall set of learning skills to achieve academic success in the classroom.
Students who utilize this resource are able to do this for the entire year or for a shorter duration of time as determined by our LSC staff, teachers, counselors, and school administrators.
The ultimate goal of the LSC is that the students reach a point where they no longer need to utilize the LSC while at CC.
