Financial Aid Guidelines
Catholic Central High School provides two types of financial aid based on need; tuition assistance and need-based scholarships. Common characteristics are listed below. The Archdiocese of Detroit sponsors a third type of financial aid which is independent from Catholic Central. For more information on the Archdiocesan Grant Program, see your pastor. All grants awarded to students are credited to CC student tuition account balances.
Tuition Assistance and Need-Based Scholarships
- Primary criteria for qualification is financial need.
- An application is required every year and is due by April 1st.
- An outside company, Private School Aid Service (PSAS), determines financial need.
- PSAS applications are available at your parish, at the CC Business Office or on this website.
- Completed applications (and $20 fee) are sent to PSAS, not Catholic Central.
- The CC Business Office notifies parents of awards/scholarships in June.
- The Catholic Central Endowment Trust Scholarship Application is also available to download from the website.

Tuition Payment Procedures
Initial Deposit -- Payment for the Enrollment Deposit ($500.00) is remitted by check made payable to "Catholic Central High School" and returned with the enrollment forms. This is a nonrefundable deposit.
Tuition -- Payment for Tuition is paid to the Catholic Central High School Business Office. Catholic Central will accept payment by check or cash. Checks returned by the bank will incur a $15.00 fee charged by the Business Office.
Tuition for students admitted or withdrawn during the year is prorated weekly. The unused portion of scholarships and financial assistance awarded to a student is forfeited if the student no longer attends Catholic Central High School for whatever the reason. For purposes of calculating tuition refunds, scholarship and tuition assistance are applied after the balance of tuition has been paid. Students withdrawing are subject to a $100.00 Processing Fee established to cover administrative and clerical costs.
All financial obligations must be settled before a student will be admitted to any succeeding Semester. Before enrollment for a succeeding school year can be completed, a signed Enrollment Contract must be on file in the Business Office.
Transcripts, for college admissions or withdrawing students, will not be released for any student whose tuition account is in arrears according to the published schedule. Seniors' tuition accounts should be paid in full by November, regardless of any deferred payment arrangement, to avoid delays in releasing their transcripts to colleges.
A service charge of 1.00% per month is applied to all accounts on the first day of each month for which there is an outstanding balance beginning November 1, 2013.
Damage to the building, equipment or vehicles resulting from unauthorized use, rowdiness or malicious behavior will be assessed to the responsible party or parties.
